JJ Ziegler has been playing hockey since he was 5 years old. This year, in addition to playing for East High School, JJ has earned a spot on the Chadder’s – AAA Midget U18 Travel Hockey Team. Based in Utah, the team will be traveling to Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, North Dakota, Arizona, California and many other places to compete at the highest level of hockey available for JJ’s age group. To support JJ, his cousin Casie, a licensed Cosmetologist, has generously agreed to provide haircuts for only $5! JJ’s grandmother Ruby will have her famous cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip and sugar cookies for sale too. Browse the yard sale for second hand treasures. Last year we raised $1,350! Our goal this year is to raise $2,000.

Can’t make it September 6th but still want to support JJ? Here’s how:
· Clean out your basement and donate items for the yard sale.
· Pre-order your baked goods. We’ll deliver to you or arrange for pick up. See order form.
· Cash donations are enthusiastically accepted!

Why #11?

Why does JJ wear #11? Well, a few reasons. The number 11 kind of looks like his name, JJ. Pretty cool, eh? The greatest leader in all of hockey (possibly in ALL sports) Mark Messier wore #11. And finally, the real story. JJ's cousin Casie loved Jim Dowd. Jim Dowd played for the New Jersey Devils back in the 90's. His number was #11. Casie loved him so JJ picked his number.

East vs. Brighton - July 27, 2008

In the last regular season game of the 2008 High School Summer League, East easily defeated Brighton by a score of 6-1. Special thanks to Mike and Alli for coming to see the game.
